Almost everyone in the internet and in the outsourcing world uses Paypal, Moneybookers or Xoom. The correct way to set up accounts like this is to create a separate email from the email that you use to communicate with people or clients.

This would mean creating just one email for Paypal and Moneybookers’ access and nothing else. It shall not be used for anything else except communications to your Paypal or Moneybookers account. Nobody should know you are using that account for access except you, Paypal, and Moneybookers. Do not send emails through this account to other persons. It shall be used for that purpose only.

You will begin to appreciate this when you will experience being phished out by scrupulous persons sending spam emails. People phishing your account will send you an email that is very much the same as the content and look of the official email of the Paypal or Moneybookers access page. When you click on the link provided to your from within their email content, they are able to obtain your username and password. However, you may have noticed that it won’t automatically access the site. Meaning, it will stop first, and then will make you log in again. Lesson number one: Refrain from clicking links coming from emails especially when it is about Paypal, Moneybookers, or confirmation from bank accounts.

If you feel something strange as such as what I have just told you, immediately log out. Log in again and change your password then log out again. Another trick is to make your primary email as your Paypal or Moneybookers payment email but not the log in email. Remember that unknown email is your combat to phishing spammers.
